New S.O.C.K.S. Intakes Need Your Help! (Not yet adoptable)

Alfie, a recent SOCKS intake, isn't doing well. He was admitted to Community Veterinary Care Specialists for hospital care. He was immediately catheterized to empty his bladder. His temp was around 104 and he was basically considered septic. However, even with infections raging his bloodwork looked relatively good. Dr. Bassett is hopeful he will continue to improve over the weekend and by Monday he may be well enough for the surgery he needs to remove the bladder stones. Right now, his care with surgery is estimated close to $6000. Any donation you can give is greatly appreciated. Please also keep sweet little Alfie in your prayers for a full recovery. Welcome Gracie to SOCKS. She is a 4-5 year old chocolate Cocker from a breeder closing down. She is just a little dumpling at 24 lbs and is very sweet but scared. We were told she might have a UTI, but X-rays showed she has two BIG bladder stones so we’re keeping her comfortable while we get her into the surgery schedule for the stones to be removed and to be spayed. Both ears were nasty and infected so they were deep cleaned before they could be packed. Gracie is heartworm negative and we had her eye pressures checked and will have those results and her fecal results later. With Gracie feeling not so great due to the stones, Dr Sprayberry wanted to wait to give her vaccines so those will be scheduled later.
